The illustration above shows how play areas and amenity spaces could be arranged across the site, ensuring all residents have access to safe, welcoming green spaces.

School and community facilities: The development will provide land for a new, primary school (with nursery), designed to serve both new residents and families in the local area. A small, local centre is also proposed, which could include a shop, café, community space and potentially a health facility.

Jobs during construction and beyond: The project will generate a significant number of jobs during the construction phase. Longer term, the local centre and school will support additional employment opportunities.

Boost for town centre businesses: The project bring new investment into the town and will generate expenditure and support employment in local shops and services during the construction phase. Longer term, the new community living at Slade Lane will generate additional custom to shops, services, businesses and facilities within the town centre. As more people move into Slade Lane, spending in local shops, cafés and services will increase, bringing new trade to Haverfordwest town centre.

Supporting the Welsh language: The use of bi-lingual development signage, street and building names will be encouraged to give the neighbourhood a distinct Welsh identity.
